Imagine if you could read anyone’s blog, either from the present day or from way back when. Whose blog would you have loved to have read?
The first name that sprang to my mind was Nancy Mitford. This lady had a cutting wit and a wonderful way with words. Not only that, she was one of the famous Mitford sisters and a member of the upper-class with access to all kinds of high society news and scandal. Within her family alone she could have kept us entertained with the stories of her sisters, Pamela, Diana, Unity, Jessica and Deborah. Sadly she lost her only brother while he was still quite young.
Though Nancy married it wasn’t at all successful although she did keep on friendly terms with her estranged husband and they left very separate lives. After the war Nancy moved to Paris and had what seems like a fantastically frenzied social life before settling down there.
I recently read a few of her novels and they were actually quite funny. Though a little dated now the characters sprang to life and danced around the page giving you a real feel for what Nancy’s own life had been like back in the day. I also greatly enjoyed reading The Mitfords: Letters between Six Sisters and would recommend.
Now none of this of course has anything to do with IT or Digital, other than I believe Nancy would have made a great blogger and would have had no problem at all finding fresh ideas for interesting content, which I know many people do. If you are finding it difficult to create good content on a regular basis then take a look at our Digital Consulting Services page and contact us if you want to talk about how we might be able to help.
Let us know who you think would have made a great blogger and why, we’d love to hear!
